We were seeking a tasty late afternoon snack and came upon this lovely, quaint family owned restaurant. We ordered the Koobideh Sandwich which came with their out-of-this-world milk soup. The decor and music were soothing and relaxing, appreciated after a hectic day in the city. We plan to return.
The food is authentic and quite delicious and the service is acceptable. As an Iranian, you don't have so many options in terms of access to Persian cuisine in Montreal. To sum up, it is a five-star Iranian restaurant in town however there are a lot of room for improvement in my opinion.
I recently visited Maman Sady, and it was a fantastic experience! The food was amazing, the dishes were clean, the restrooms were spotless, and I had no trouble finding parking. The Persian flavors were authentic and served hot. The staff, especially Amirhossein, were very friendly, and we even got to have a short chat with Maman Sady herself. The inside decoration was full of energy and made the place feel welcoming. If you're looking for great Persian food with good quality, respect, and a clean, healthy environment, Maman Sady is the place to go.
I’ve been to Maman Sady twice in just one month and I’ll keep coming back! The service is truly exceptional and the portions are so generous that I instantly felt like I was at home. The soup they bring before the main dish? Easily the BEST soup I’ve ever had in a restaurant so that I ordered 3 more to take home! From the decor to the staff to the food everything is simply perfect. We ordered: koobideh, gheyme nesar, kabab torsh, mahiche, mirza ghasemi, mast-o-moosir, and zeytoon parvardeh... and every single one of them was incredible. How is that even possible?! Highly recommend!
We had an excellent meal. I live in Verdun and had not seen the entrance in Eglise, however it was one of the best persian restaurants I had been to in Montreal; Maman Sady gets two thumbs up from me ;) I went with an Algerian, and he loved the Mahicheh with the fava green rice; amazing taste and combo. The dishes were truely classics. I ordered the Gheymeh Nesar, and it tasted awsome. The meat was incredibly tender and fresh; perfection! It made me miss Iran even more, everyone should try Persian cuisine and this was a great place to try it . Presentation was also doen very well. The staff were very nice and patient, and the atmosphere was calm and the smells just made us hungrier the experience was unbeatable we left with a full belly and a smile on our faces I forgot my phone so I only have the two pictures that he took, but he also tried the AbAliDough (like ayran just not fizzy)
The Mediterranean/Iranian restaurant in Montreal that we’ve tried the best of is this one. We tried Kabab Torsh, Koobideh, and Gheymeh Nesar, and everything was delicious. The new decor also created a fantastic atmosphere. And let’s not forget the friendly staff!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant, and I was thoroughly impressed. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was just perfect. I started my meal with the soup, which was flavorful and comforting. For my main course, we had the Koobideh Kebab, which was tender and juicy. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the dish was simply divine. I also enjoyed the accompanying rice and salad. The restaurant's atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place for a relaxed meal with friends or family. I had a wonderful experience at Maman Sady Restaurant, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Middle Eastern meal. I also did the take out for Koobideh Kebab with the special rice it was really really delicious.
Every thing was perfetct! Super delicious food, excellent service and a delightful atmosphere. The soup that comes with every order was really good We got Gheymeh Nesar and Koobideh with some appetizers and everything was beyond my expectation. I'd absolutely recommend.
